Sushi making class

A children's sushi-making class can be a fun and educational experience for kids of all ages. Sushi is a traditional Japanese dish that typically consists of rice, seaweed, and a variety of fresh seafood and vegetables. In a sushi-making class, children can learn about different types of sushi, how to prepare the ingredients, and how to create different shapes and designs.

During the class, children will learn how to make sushi rice, how to slice vegetables and seafood, and how to roll sushi using a bamboo mat. They will also learn about the different types of sushi, such as maki (rolls), nigiri (hand-pressed sushi), and the most popular sushi California rolls.

The classes details-

  • Help sushi chef making sushi rice
  • Sushi chef shows how to cut the ingredients
  • Getting ready to make sushi
  • We make 3 type of sushi - Hosomaki, Nigiri, and Uramaki(California )
  • Learn how to hold chopsticks properly.
  • Learn how to eat sushi in Japanese way

We make quite a lot so they can eat some with us as well as they can take home.

Dumpling making class

Dumplings: A Crowd-Pleasing Treat for All Ages
Dumplings are a universally beloved dish. Even children can create delicious dumplings with their small hands. Through my experience teaching many children how to make dumplings, I've found that they thoroughly enjoy the process.

  • We make 15 gyoza dumplings together. We use mince chicken.
  • We make the filling together with Cabbege, leek, and chicken and seasonings.
  • We cook gyoza dumpling in Japanese way which will be half grilled and half steamed.

Mochi class

Mochi is a traditional Japanese treat made from glutinous rice that has been pounded into a sticky, chewy paste. Making mochi is often a communal activity that brings people together to celebrate special occasions or simply enjoy each other's company. Children in particular seem to love the process of making mochi, as it is a fun and interactive activity that allows them to get their hands dirty and be creative.

  • We make 8pc of strawberry mochi with azuki beans, a traditional delicacy in Japan that features a beautiful pink dough.
